According to sources inside Epcot, the park is preparing to open up the new restrooms in the new Ratatouille expansion area before the attraction itself opens as an alternative to the upcoming closure of the bathrooms in the neighboring Morocco pavilion, which are expected to close for refurbishment soon.
It has been rumored that the conditions of the Morocco pavilion were left in a bad state following the departure of the company that previously managed the pavilion before Disney recently took control. Upon the takeover Disney has allegedly assessed that the pavilion needs a refurbishment in many areas following discovery of the poor conditions, particularly in the restaurants.
The opening of the new bathrooms in France will be a welcome addition to guests as the pavilion has lacked a sufficient public restroom facility previously, short of the ones inside the restaurants.
